~43ish elevating miles.

Using a modified fanny pack as a handlebar bag
I have a frame bag being made and this works great for now

Lots of winter layers

PTAC group ride!

Great ride today
Windy weather but calm in the forest

Quick stop at the bus!

Still enamored with my bespoke adventure machine

Turbulent waters on the strait

North Beach looking out towards Whidbey!

Sharing an apple, trail mix, and some good conversation

Another glamour shot of my bike
Soon it will be laden with bags and will have a different look

New full length 7-eleven thermal jersey rules!

More riding

This place is called "End of the World"

There's a small bunker next to a sheer drop off.

Riding around Fort Townsend

crepuscular rays along the Larry Scott Trail

Found this off the trail, there's also some plastic lizards at Cappy's

Looking out towards Marrowstone

Shot with the new 35mm Lens
This may be my favorite bike of all time
Next to the tandem anyway

Maiden Voyage

Maiden voyage of the new bike!
Also testing out a new lens

All of the following photos are snapped with a 35mm f/2 prime lens

Searchlight 4 one of my favorite places

The frame sent from Mongoose is the Ruddy Comp
Boost spacing, tapered headtube, thru-axle, modern geometry
Was a great platform to build from, very happy with how it handles!

The bike can be ran 27.5+ or 29er format
I am running 29inch wheels for speed/efficiency

The paint is incredibly iridescent
It looks green - blue depending on the lighting
more vibrant in person

TRP hylex RS hydraulic brakes
These are the most effective brakes I've ever had!

Looks green

Then blue

So far this 35mm prime is awesome
lots of detail
Has a nice human eye focal length

Soon this will be loaded with bags and gadgets
I'm taking a lot of photos now while it's fresh out of the wrapper

These tires are fast and surprisingly grippy

Upper Bunkers at Fort Worden

great lens

I went with dirt drops because they are comfy for distance rides
Plenty of hand positions so your hands don't get numb
I haven't found them to be sluggish in the woods either

very crisp

Such a fun tread pattern

Went with a carbon fiber fork as well for weight.

old generator

Fort Worden looking out towards Hudson Point

35mm has a very life-like feel about it
I think this is lens I'm taking to the Philippines next month.

Moss on the wall, camera perpendicular to the ground

No zoom, I was pretty close to this guy

Carbon Fiber "seat"

The San Juans are somewhere out there

With the changes in elevation, trails, and forest
Fort Worden is a great place to test out a mountain bike

Took a lot of single track home.

I can not believe I put this thing together myself!
Every single component hand selected and assembled in a garage.
